Clark Park Community Center & Pool Opens to the Public

Just in time for the Summer, hundreds of neighborhood residents, Tempe community members, and city officials celebrated the grand opening of the new Clark Park Community Center and Pool. The project, led by Landscape Architects Dig Studio, began as a master plan for park improvements just before the COVID-19 Pandemic hit. As community priorities shifted and public spaces (especially outdoors) came into center focus, the project grew to include a dual-purpose aquatics & community center designed by Holly Street Studio. The building design responds to its neighborhood context with an expansive low roof form, shade-covered porches, and multipurpose classrooms open to the surrounding park. In the months since opening, the project has been recognized with multiple environmental and design excellence awards.
